Hidden by the Sea, Darwin’s Shipwrecks represent one of Australia’s largest heritage sites. There is a world of ocean graves and twisted metal which exists below the surface. Our professional guides will give you the lowdown and history of the sunken warships bombed by the Japanese planes in 1942 during WWII. Fishing trawlers are also scattered on the Seabed of Port Darwin buried by the ferocious waters created by cyclone Tracey in 1974.

Katherine Gorge is located within the amazing Nitmiluk National Park and is filled with rugged landscapes, thundering waterfalls and spectacular flora and fauna.  Travel past former WWII airstrips en route to Adelaide River. Stop briefly at the War Cemetery, and continue to Edith Falls for a swim in the waterhole beneath (conditions permitting). After lunch join a two hour scenic cruise through Katherine Gorge. Explore the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre before returning to Darwin.

The three gorge cruise offers a relaxed experience, with our expert tour guides going into depth about the history and function of the eight to ten thousand year old Indigenous rock art you will see on this journey. Once you get to the third gorge, you will have an opportunity to swim at the Lillypond seasonal waterfalls or at the shallow rock pools. Depending on what time of the year you visit you may be able to swim in the many rock pools in gorges 1 and 2.

This cruise takes in the stunning backdrop of the rainfed first gorge which is the longest gorge in the 13 gorge system. Enjoy small group touring where we have a maximum of 15 guests per tour. 

The tours are run by our cultural team of staff who are local Jawoyn people and Aboriginal people from surrounding clans to the Jawoyn clan group. The Jawoyn tour guides share stories of their lives and carry on the legacy of their ancestors and their forefathers.

Cutta Cutta Caves

Delve 15 metres below the surface to discover amazing limestone caves in the heart of Australia’s Top End. 

Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park is located 27km south of Katherine and is easily accessible from the Stuart Highway. The park covers 1499 hectares of limestone landscape, and is home to five species of bats, including the rare Ghost and Horseshoe bats. About 170 species of birds have been recorded within the park, including the Hooded Parrot and the endangered Gouldian Finch.

Malappar Traveller - Self Canoe Tour

This is a great tour for families looking for a little bit more. Children aged six and over can join this tour in a double canoe with an adult.

Following a small walk on a rocky path to the canoe launch area be prepared for the adventure to really begin. Exploring the gorge system at a relaxed pace, you will have ample time to admire the scenery and wildlife. Enjoy a picnic on the shaded river banks or cool off with a swim in the alluring waters of the second or third gorge.
