Our discounts are available to the following affiliations:  Defence Force Personnel and their families, Former Serving members, Veterans, War Widows, Police & Emergency Services, Correction Officers and Defence Contracted Personnel, Defence Public Servants and International Allies.

You will be required to provide proof of your affiliation at the time of booking with us - either by providing your PMKeys, ID number or similar identifying material. 

Defence Holidays NQ works with a number of tour and accommodation providers around Australia to provide discounted offerings to eligible affiliations. Our portfolio includes resorts and hotels, self-contained apartments, camping grounds, private holiday rentals and more. 

The tours we work with are extensive, ranging from intrepid 4 and 5 day packages in Alice Springs to 2 hour activities like 'Learn to Surf' or Aquarium passes. We recommend locking in your accommodation first and then working with us to determine the best tours and prices for you and your family. Of course, if you have something in mind already, please feel free to let us know and we will work with our current tour partners. 

In the instance where we don't currently have a tour on offer we will always reach out to relevant providers where possible to obtain the best price for you. 

Our discounts range from a few dollars to hundreds. It simply depends on the price of your tour or accommodation and how much commission a company usually permits. As we pass on the commission in the form of savings to the guest, this will determine the ultimate discount you will receive.

When providing our quotes we note the listed retail price and the discounted price so that you are able to determine what fits your budget and gives you the best value.

If we are unable to provide you with a greater discount than is listed elsewhere, we will always let you know. We are about saving you money and making your holiday more affordable wherever we can. 

We are able to provide discounts on accommodation, tours and car hire  around Australia. 

While Defence Holidays NQ owns two resorts in North Queensland, we continue to expand our network of partner accommodation providers to give our guests the best options possible. 

We are able to book you tours anywhere in Australia. If we don't currently have your preferred tour on our database, we will reach out to similar providers to obtain the best possible price for your trip. 

Defence Holidays NQ is a not-for-profit charity travel organisation. Similar to a travel agent, we help book holidays, accommodation and tour packages for our customers. We are able to provide a discount because we pass on what would normally be retained as commission in the form of savings to the guest. 

Defence Holidays NQ owns two resorts: Cocos Holiday Apartments at Trinity Beach and Island Leisure Resort on Magnetic Island. As these are our organisation's resorts, we are able to provide significantly subsidised rates to eligible personnel. Outside of these resorts, we work with a number of other accommodation providers to give our guests the best rates possible. 

There are two main ways you can make a booking via Defence Holidays NQ.

The first is by visiting us on Lavarack Barracks in Townsville. We are located across from the Area Gym and inbetween the Barber and Post office. 

The second is to contact us via phone or email. We can conduct all our conversations regarding your booking, including payment through secure portals over the phone or email. 

Our office is open from 9am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday and closed on weekends.

Yes! Defence Holidays NQ is ATAS accredited we can assist in booking your RLLT Holiday Packages for domestic Australia travel. To discuss and book please phone or email us. We are able to provide the right documentation for your RLLT reimbursement.
