Location: Lavarack Barracks, Townsville 

Position: Part-Time Reservation Consultant (Maternity Leave Cover, with potential to become ongoing/full-time)
Hours: 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:30–15:30 

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Reservation Consultant to join our team. This part-time role will initially cover a maternity leave position, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the business continues to grow.

As a Reservation Consultant, you will provide expert travel advice and personalised service to our valued clients. You’ll play a key role in creating exceptional travel experiences and supporting the smooth operation of our travel services.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and managing end-to-end travel bookings tailored to client needs
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email
• Coordinating tour operations and liaising with Suppliers, Drivers, and Guides
• Promoting and selling complementary products such as insurance, tours, and activities
• Managing emails, invoices, CRM updates, and general administrative tasks
• Assisting with social media updates and newsletters

Selection Criteria

• Knowledge of domestic and/or international fare construction and manual self-ticketing (including reissues) is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for exceptional customer service and attention to detail
• Experience using Sabre or another GDS
• Certificate III in Travel and Tourism, or a similar travel-related qualification
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Preferred experience with Xero
• Preferred knowledge of North Queensland
