Guest Reservations Consultant

 Location: Lavarack Barracks, Townsville 

Position: Permanent Part Time - 18 Hours per week.

(Hours of work Monday to Friday – between 8:30 – 15:30) 

 As a Reservation Consultant, you’ll be responsible for providing expert travel advice and personalised service to our valued clients.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

· Creating and managing end-to-end travel bookings tailored to individual client needs

· Handling customer inquiries via phone and email

· Coordinating tour operations and working closely with Suppliers, Drivers & Guides

· Selling complementary products such as travel insurance, tours, and activities

· Keeping on top of emails, invoices, CRM updates, and general admin duties

· Supporting social media updates and newsletters

Selection Criteria: 

Knowledge of domestic and/or international fares construction and manual self-ticketing (including reissues) preferred.

· Well-honed written and oral communication skills, a passion for customer service excellence and a keen eye for detail.

· Experienced with using Sabre, Global Distribution system (GDS)

· Certificate 3 in Travel and Tourism or similar Travel diploma or degree

· Strong organisation and time management skills.

· Preferred experience in XERO

· Preferred knowledge of North Queensland
