Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Defence Holidays NQ ABN 80 010 685 239 located at Lavarack Barracks, Townsville QLD 4810

2. Eligibility

• Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over.
• Employees and Volunteers of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter

• To enter, participants must complete and submit the official entry form available at 

https://defenceholidaysnq.com.au/fiji-giveaway

• Only one (1) entry per person will be accepted.
• Entries must be received by 07 Sep 25 11:59pm. Late entries will not be accepted.

4. Competition Period

• The competition opens at 12:00pm 27 Jul 25 and closes at 07 Sep 25 11:59pm.
• The winner(s) will be selected by random draw on 08 Sep 25 at 12:00pm DHNQ Office, Lavarack Barracks – Live Streamed.

5. Prize

• The prize includes: 

2 Adults | 5 Nights | Island / Mainland

 Accommodation (Sponsored by Outrigger Fiji Resorts):

• 2 nights at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort (Ocean View Room)
• 2 nights at Castaway Island, Fiji (Island Bure)
• Daily breakfast included at both resorts

Flights (Sponsored by Fiji Airways):

• Return economy airfares for 2 adults
• Note: Taxes are not included and will need to be collected at the time of booking. Estimated at $320 per person.

Additional Support by Fiji Island Holidays:

• Arrival night’s accommodation at Fiji Gateway Hotel including full buffet breakfast
• All transfers, including airport, hotel, and launch transfers
• Option for winner to purchase full board meal plans at a 15% discount

• The total prize pool is valued at AUD $5,000.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

• The winner(s) will be selected at random from all eligible entries received.
• The draw will take place at DHNQ Office, Lavarack Barracks and Live Streamed on 08 Sep 25.
• Winner(s) will be notified via email and/or phone within 2 business days of the draw.
• The winner’s name(s) may be published on the DHNQ website and/or social media pages.

7. Claiming the Prize

• The winner must claim the prize within 7 days of notification.
• If the prize is unclaimed after this period, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw a new winner.

8. General Conditions

• Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are non-transferable.
• The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
• By entering the competition, entrants agree to receive promotional communications from the Promoter. Entrants may unsubscribe at any time.
• All personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at www.defenceholidaysnq.com.au.

9. Limitation of Liability

• The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) in connection with this promotion or the use of any prize.

Fiji Airways T&C’s 

1. Prize is for two(2) passengers travelling together on our return Cairns or Brisbane flight to Nadi, Fiji. 
2. Reservations and ticketing must be done at least ten (10) working days prior to the requested date of departure. Please have your passport details and travel dates readily available. 
3. Visa application (if applicable) and associated costs are NOT the responsibility of Fiji Airways. 
4. This ticket is NOT transferable, CANNOT be en-cashed, sold, nor can it be redeemed in any other form. 
5. Name changes are not permitted. Once ticketed, normal fare rules and conditions of carriage apply.   
6. Travel is valid on Fiji Airways operated [prime] services only. 
7. Travel must be taken and be completed no later than 31 JULY 2026. 
8. Accommodation transfers and meals are NOT included in this offer. 
9. Due to prior commercial demand, travel restrictions will apply from time to time.       
10. Applicable Government taxes and surcharges are NOT included with this ticket. You will be advised on the procedure for paying taxes when you contact the above-mentioned staff to book the flights. 

Outrigger Fiji Resorts T&Cs

OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort:
2 x nights Ocean View Room including Talai (Butler) service with buffet breakfast daily for 2 adults

Castaway Island, Fiji:
2 x nights at Castaway Island, Fiji in an Island Bure with buffet breakfast daily for 2 adults

Conditions:
• The voucher is valid for travel until 31st July 2026
• Applicable to 2 adults.
• Transfers are not included.
• The voucher cannot be exchanged under any circumstances and is not transferable.
• This voucher is not valid during peak season, is subject to room availability and must be presented at check-in.

Blackout Periods – Travel Not Permitted

These are the combined blackout dates where either resort is unavailable, so travel cannot occur: 

• 1 April 2025 – 24 April 2025 (Castaway)
• 24 June 2025 – 15 July 2025 (Both)
• 15 September 2025 – 11 October 2025 (Both)
• 20 December 2025 – 12 January 2026 (Both)
• 1 April 2026 – 24 April 2026 (Castaway)
• 24 June 2026 – 15 July 2026 (Both)
• 15 September 2026 – 11 October 2026 (Both)

 Permitted Travel Windows (Clear for Both Resorts)

Based on the above, prize winners can travel during these periods:

• 16 July 2025 – 14 September 2025
• 12 October 2025 – 19 December 2025
• 13 January 2026 – 31 March 2026
• 25 April 2026 – 23 June 2026
• 16 July 2026 – 31 July 2026

 All travel must be completed by 31 July 2026 and is subject to availability.
